Chai Tea - Classic Chai Tea

Chai Tea - Classic Chai Tea

$4.00

Classic Chai Tea - Our Classic Chai Tea is an exotic blend that is deep, warm and fragrant.  When serving, add cream (or half-n-half) and honey to finish this as a truly rich Chai Tea.  This product contains Caffeine.

Vanilla Chai Tea Version:  The first time I had Chai Tea was at the Renaissance Faire in Wisconsin.  It was delicious!  Attempts to get some packaged tea or their recipe failed.  Having been to culinary school, I went home and started to make my own blend.  My combination below may not be an exact match, but it is close.

Try our Classic Chai Tea with some Nielsen-Massey Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Bean Paste, Cream (or Half-N-Half) and fresh Honey. This can be served hot or as an iced beverage.  Start with a teaspoon each of Vanilla Bean Paste and Honey and add as desired.

Culinary Notes:
A good Pure Vanilla Extract can be substituted.  However, Vanilla Bean Paste does has a thicker consistency (similar to molasses) and more vanilla flavor than the extract since it contains all the vanilla bean seeds from the pod.  You can also use Vanilla Bean Paste in your baking at the same amount as the extract for more flavor.  Check with your local grocers to see if they carry it. Otherwise, I have put a link for finding it on Amazon below.  Other retail stores carry it as well.

While the British made tea time famous, documents have been discovered that date herbal teas back to ancient Egypt and China.  They have been used for hundreds of years for their health benefits, great taste and even magical properties. We make no medical claims for our teas. Chai teas do contain caffeine and can be served hot or as an iced beverage.  Our Chai teas is made from organic herbs and spices.  Each ingredient in our Chai tea blend has been carefully selected for its known properties and flavor profile.  Stevia leaves may be added as a sweetener in some blends or honey may be added after the tea has steeped.

Brewing the perfect cup of loose leaf tea is a personal preference.  Here is a helpful guide to get you started.
  1. Heat water to desired temperature.
  2. Scoop the dry tea leaf into an infuser or tea strainer.
  3. Pour your heated water over dry tea leaves and steep for desired time.  The longer the steeping time the stronger the brew.
  4. Remove tea infuser or strainer.
  5. Relax and enjoy!

Warning:
We use high quality organic ingredients in all of our herbal teas.  If irritation or allergic reaction occurs, discontinue use immediately and seek medical attention.  Safe for children.
